For those looking to understand the basic techniques required to use a 4x4 off-road, this half-day session is an ideal starting point. After a safety briefing and a basic description of the 4wd system, high/low range gears and differentials on the vehicle you are about to drive, it will be time to put theory into practice on the variety of sections throughout our site. With an experienced instructor alongside, you'll be negotiating areas with mud, ditches, ridges or water (weather permitting) inclines and declines that test your ability to read the ground and successfully negotiate the wide variety of challenging sections and obstacles. At the end of this morning course we will provide lunch and present you with a certificate before you leave. All drivers will also be expected to walk sections with the instructor prior to driving each of them to assess the route, risks & obstacles.
