“This isn’t the first time my boyfriend has taken part in a 4x4 off roading experience. With my Dad turning 50 I wanted to get him a birthday present that he'd really remember. I'd been looking for the perfect present for ages and eventually I came up with the idea of a 4x4 off-road driving experience. Dad's a real petrol head, so I knew he'd love putting his driving skills to the test.

My wife bought me a 4x4 off-road driving experience for Christmas, and even though I wasn't sure what to expect at the time, I absolutely loved it!

The voucher came in a glossy presentation box and there was even some information inside about 4x4 driving experiences, which gave me a better idea of what to expect. After reading all the info I was really excited about giving it a go, and a couple of weeks later I used my voucher and got my experience booked in.

Luckily I didn't have to wait long for my experience, and after arriving at the site and eyeing up the course I was raring to go. The instructors were really good and I learnt loads of different driving techniques whilst we were out on the course.

I seemed to be at the wheel for ages, and as I worked my round the course I came up against all sorts of different obstacles. The highlight was definitely the water crossing though, and with water almost covering the bonnet I was convinced I was going to conk out. Thankfully I made it round in one piece though, and even though it was a bit hairy at times I'd definitely recommend an off-road driving experience.
